"I am not a burger fan but I have been craving lately. It was great. Fries, fantastic, gravy AMAZING. They are frozen burgers which I tend to hate but these were quite good. Tom the cook came over to speak to me and mentioned that he will be bringing in as much home made foods as possible. Burgers, chicken burgers, soups (already there) souvlaki, etc. My daughter got the chicken club…..so good and the bacon, nice and thick. Will def be coming back"

"A GEM. We took my son and daughter-in-law with the kids today for Breakfast. It was absolutely amazing. Best French toast with lots of berries. I wish I had taken a picture of the presentation. We all walked out satisfied saying. We need to put reviews everywhere so this place stays. Our new go to for breakfast."

"My husband and I went to Shans for the early bird special…just $6.99 for the plate and the food was delicious! We were warmly greeted and seated right away. The food came out fast with home fries cooked nice and crispy, scrambled eggs were fluffy and the bacon perfectly cooked! The atmosphere is bright with traditional diner colours of red and white but with modern and classy furnishings. The coffee was good too. I would definitely recommend this spot for anyone in the Barrie area, or if you’re just passing through. We will be back also."

"Definitely our new breakfast place. Worth the 20 minute drive. The restaurant is comfortable, clean, and beautiful! The portions were generous but not overly huge. Everything was delicious. Attention to detail is evident! The best was our server Ewan. He was super, friendly, and efficient. Looking forward to returning! We'd give them a 10-star if we could."

"We popped in here on a snowy day after visiting the antique market nearby, looking for a cozy spot for lunch and we’re so glad we did. My mom and I found a true little gem. The food was delicious, but what really stood out was the service. Our server was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which made the whole experience feel special. Portions are generous for the price, and everything felt thoughtfully prepared. If I lived closer, this would absolutely be a regular stop for me. Such a lovely experience, highly recommend."

"Stopped by this morning and had one of the board specials - I forget the name, but it contained eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes and a little gravy. A HUGE bowl of food with rye toast and absolutely delicious. Top five breakfast I've ever had! Place is clean and quiet, coffee is terrific and topped quickly. Highly recommended and looking forward to trying lunch!"

"My friend and I came here for breakfast about 11am on a Tuesday morning. Service was quick and very friendly. Restaurant has a very cute style to it, and food was delicious. What stood out to me the most were the portion sizes and prices; just phenomenal. Excited to come back again!"
